The Taft is handcrafted in Naples, Florida from 100% U.S.-origin materials and made from full-grain, vegetable-tanned American cowhide selected for its rich hand, durability and ability to develop a distinctive patina over time. Tanned in Chicago by Horween Leather Company using its Essex tannage, the leather is paired with expandable clamp-down ends, removable organization and a generous 22-inch format designed for everything from long weekends to years of travel. The restrained silhouette lets the leather, hardware and American craftsmanship take center stage.

Leather: Our leather is designed to age elegantly and with the character that you’d expect from a heritage brand that specializes in fine leather goods. We recommend using a mild leather cream to maintain the leather’s appearance. To remove surface dirt, simply wipe the leather with a soft damp cloth.
Waxed Canvas: Clean off any visible dust or dirt with a light scrub brush or a damp sponge. Do not apply heavy detergents. To maintain the vibrant finish, reproof periodically with Martexin Wax.
